100 Days Of Asking Water

Hardcover / 6.1" x 8.9" / 104 Pages / 13.6 ounces

During 100 days, I ask a question every day and use a cup of water to answer it.
The interface between the image and the question creates a space that invites viewers
to explore the implications of life.

Day 1

Is the change from itself or the process of achieving a balance with its surrounding environment?

The hot water is cooling.
Is it by its own will,
if there is any,
or simply because the environment is cooler?

Day 2

How far is the distance between language and the thing it describes?

Language cannot be seen, be touched, has no shape,
whereas it seems to be so powerful
that can grasp any tangible objects that we want to describe.
Still, it might not reach as close as we imagine
and sometimes can feels like struggling in vain.

Day 6

Why always need some time to find out that we bite off more than we can chew?

At the beginning you think you can hold all of these ice cubes.
Just wait a little more time
until they are melting
and the water overflows.

Day 7

How do you know how much help to give someone if they don’t show they need help?

My friend gave me a cactus as gift one year ago.
I thought that a cactus does not need much water so I water it once a month.
I did not know how much water was in its soil; I could not see it and I could not measure it.
It looked green and fine until last month when roots started coming out from the top.
“Hey, you need water, right?”
